Office of the Secretary of Family and Social Services must apply by October 1, 2026 for a Section 1115 Medicaid demonstration waiver from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services

Waiver would provide Medicaid coverage for "health related social needs," defined as unmet adverse social conditions contributing to poor health outcomes, including food insecurity, housing instability, unemployment, and lack of transportation

Required coverage areas include housing supports and nutrition supports

Secretary's office may identify additional health-related social needs services for coverage under the waiver

Effective date: July 1, 2026
