IN HB1030

Eliminates the requirement for electrologist license applicants to first hold a cosmetologist or esthetician license in Indiana

Requires applicants to complete 600 hours of combined education and experience for electrology training in a beauty culture school, effective July 1, 2027

Directs the State Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiners to amend rules by June 30, 2027 to allow electrology and esthetics services to be performed in the same room (though not simultaneously)

Applicants must still pass a board-prescribed examination and pay required licensing fees
