School corporations may display commercial advertising on school buses they own, effective July 1, 2026, if the governing body adopts a compliant policy

Advertising is restricted to rear quarter panels only, with a maximum of two ads per panel, each no larger than 36 inches by 90 inches

Ads must use only black lettering on a white background and cannot cover structural damage or sheet metal alterations

Prohibited content includes tobacco, alcohol, political campaigns, gambling, and sexually explicit or pornographic material

Required policy must establish pricing, designate individuals authorized to sell and approve ads, define appropriate content standards, and specify attachment methods
