When a born alive infant is transported to a hospital with appropriate perinatal care level, the mother must be offered transportation to the same facility

Local prosecuting attorneys must investigate and pursue criminal prosecution of health care providers with probable cause of knowingly or intentionally violating treatment requirements and causing harm or death to the infant or mother

Amends IC 16-21-2-17 with an effective date of July 1, 2026
