Repeals Indiana's "red flag" law provisions that allowed courts to issue warrants to confiscate firearms from individuals deemed "dangerous" based on law enforcement affidavits

Eliminates the definition of "dangerous" person (those presenting imminent risk of personal injury to self or others) and removes associated prohibitions on firearm possession, purchase, and transfer

Removes the requirement for the Office of Judicial Administration to compile and publish annual statistics on firearm confiscations from dangerous persons

Repeals criminal offenses for unlawful possession of a firearm by a dangerous person (Class A misdemeanor) and unlawful transfer of a firearm to a dangerous person (Level 5 felony)

Preserves the petition process for individuals previously found dangerous to seek return of their firearms by proving they are not otherwise prohibited by law from possessing firearms; effective July 1, 2026
