Groups or associations of child care centers and child care homes may establish a multiple employer welfare arrangement (MEWA) to provide accident, sickness, and death benefits

Department of Insurance must create and publish a survey by September 1, 2026, collecting child care facility names, interest in establishing a MEWA, and current insurance costs

Office of the Secretary of Family and Social Services must email a direct link to the survey to each child care facility within 14 calendar days of the survey being published

Department of Insurance must facilitate communication between interested child care facilities and advise them on best practices for lowering insurance costs

Effective July 1, 2026
