Senior neighborhoods (age 55+ communities) may operate pools without lifeguards if the pool is no deeper than 6 feet and has no diving board, diving well, or water slide

Lifeguards are required during designated visiting hours when minors under 18 are permitted to use the pool; minors may not use the pool outside these hours

Senior neighborhoods must post signage at pool entrances stating "No lifeguard on duty-swim at your own risk" and indicating whether children under 18 are allowed during visiting hours or prohibited entirely

Indiana Department of Health may assess fines of $1,000 per violation and must amend 410 IAC 6-2.1 to conform with the act

Effective upon passage; declared an emergency measure
