Terry Lynch began his career in the Heat & Frost Insulators Union Local 17 apprenticeship program in 1970 and served over five decades in union leadership roles including Vice President, Recording and Financial Secretary, and Trustee for Health & Welfare, Pension, and Annuity Funds

Elected business manager of Local 17 in 1996 and Vice President of the Insulators International Union in 2002, where he served as Political and Legislative Director and Health Hazard Administrator

Chaired the Joint Apprentice Training Committee and other jointly trusted committees, working to improve safety standards and expand training opportunities for tradespeople

Volunteered with Pirates, Inc., an organization supporting children with special needs, and continued a multi-generational family legacy in the pipe-covering trade

The Indiana House of Representatives formally recognizes Lynch for his leadership, service to working families, and community contributions
