Legislative committee assignments included ranking minority member of Environmental Affairs Committee, Elections and Apportionment Committee member, Vice Chair of Statutory Committee on Ethics, and ex officio advisory member of Recycling Market Development Board

Extensive board involvement with organizations including National Caucus of Environmental Legislators (state lead 2022-2024), Women in Government, National Organization for Women, Muncie OUTreach, Second Harvest Food Bank, and Afghan Women's and Kids' Education & Necessities (AWAKEN)

Received numerous awards including the inaugural Persistence Award from Muncie Resists, Athena Award, Woman of the Year from Indiana National Organization for Women, and John E. Worthen Outstanding Contribution to Education Award from Indiana Academy
