Whiteland Community High School girls wrestling team won the 2026 IHSAA team state championship, marking the school's first-ever team state championship in any sport

Team finished with 99.5 points, defeating runner-up Crown Point, third-place Hobart, and defending champion Columbus East, while leading the tournament with eight qualifiers

Sophomore Kaitlynn Fouty (100 lbs) and sophomore Mikayla Perkins (120 lbs) won individual state titles, becoming the first Whiteland female athletes to win state championships

Additional state placers included freshman Moriah Morphet (2nd, 115 lbs), sophomore Marli Woods (3rd, 130 lbs), sophomore Kahlyn Fouty (6th, 125 lbs), and junior Marin Wiggington (6th, 155 lbs)

Girls wrestling is only in its second year as an IHSAA-sanctioned sport in Indiana
