Amends Indiana Code 9-19-1-1 to add a new exemption for vehicle chassis that are part of a manufacturer's work in process when towed less than 40 miles on non-interstate highways

Previously, the exemption only covered manufacturer vehicle chassis driven less than 1 mile; the new provision expands this to include towed chassis

Effective date is July 1, 2026

Maintains existing exemptions from vehicle equipment requirements for farm implements, road machinery, road rollers, farm tractors, and golf carts/off-road vehicles operating under local ordinances
