County fair boards may obtain permits from the Alcohol and Tobacco Commission to sell alcoholic beverages on fairgrounds, with permits valid for one year and exempt from quota restrictions.

Local fair boards can designate licensed vendors (retailers or craft manufacturers) to sell alcohol by the glass at fair-sponsored events, with minors permitted in alcohol sales areas.

Brewers, beer retailers, wine retailers, liquor retailers, farm wineries, and artisan distillers may participate in county fair events sponsored by local boards upon proper notice to the commission.

Alcohol service at county fairs must be performed only by certified servers during prescribed hours, following commission rules to protect public interest.
