Elected and appointed supervisors of soil and water conservation districts must complete training provided by the division of soil conservation within one year of being placed on the governing body, effective July 1, 2026

Districts must provide annual reports to local governing bodies, the public, and the division of soil conservation at annual meetings, and district funding will be withheld if financial statements are not submitted to the board by March 1

Election committee appointment deadline changed to October 31, and if an election committee fails to fulfill requirements, no election is held and the governing body fills positions through appointment

When three or more vacant unexpired supervisor terms occur simultaneously, the board shall make appointments to fill the vacancies

Repeals the Indiana Land Resources Council (IC 15-12-5) and removes the requirement to send landfill inspection reports to the director of the division of soil conservation
