Indiana Senate resolution honoring Jacob W. "Jake" Oakman for more than two decades of service to Indiana's tourism, sports, and cultural institutions

Currently serves as Senior Vice President of External Relations for the Indianapolis Zoo, where he completed a $53 million capital campaign, the largest in the Zoo's history

Served as Executive Director of White River State Park Development Commission (2022-2025), initiating a $65 million park expansion and securing a $30 million grant from Lilly Endowment, Inc. for the 250-acre park that welcomes over 4 million visitors annually

Held state government positions including Deputy Press Secretary to Governor Mitch Daniels and Director of Communications/Speechwriter for Governor Eric Holcomb, and worked with the Indiana Office of Tourism Development on statewide branding and the Indiana Bicentennial Torch Relay

Previously honored with the Sagamore of the Wabash and Governor's Distinguished Service Medal; directs the Secretary of the Senate to transmit a copy of the resolution to Oakman
