Embry taught grades 2-5 and middle school special education in MSD Lawrence Township from 1987 to 2009, and held degrees from DePauw University (Psychology and Elementary Education) and Butler University (M.A. in School Administration)

Served in multiple roles with the Indiana State Teachers Association (ISTA), including UniServ Director, Public Education Advocacy Coordinator, and coordinator for ISTA-Retired

Advocated for legislation supporting youth with developmental delays, mental health and resiliency programs, curriculum improvements, and increased public school funding

Secretary of the Senate directed to transmit two copies of the resolution to Roni Embry
