Written requests for independent review go to the superintendent, who notifies the board of education; the board may conduct its own review or direct an independent review

Independent reviews must be conducted by a neutral person and include interviews with the original reporter and relevant staff, plus review of written investigation materials

Amends K.S.A. 72-6147 to require district bullying policies include procedures for independent review of school administrator determinations
