Cities, counties, and school districts may designate an official website as an alternative to newspapers for publishing legally required notices, with governing bodies selecting the publication source by resolution

Websites used for legal notices must be maintained by the government entity, publicly accessible without passwords or fees, and must document and display the publication date for each notice

Legal notices published online must follow the same timing, frequency, and geographic requirements as newspaper publications

Bond election notices may be published either in a newspaper once weekly for two consecutive weeks or on the county election office website, with first publication at least 21 days before the election

Amends K.S.A. 64-101 and K.S.A. 2024 Supp. 10-120, and repeals K.S.A. 12-1651
