Secretary of health and environment must establish a 12-member fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD) task force to study the effects and prevalence of FASD in Kansas and recommend changes to laws and regulations

Task force membership includes 4 legislators, a foster parent of a child with FASD, healthcare and behavioral health professionals, a special education teacher, and citizen advocates appointed by various state officials

All members must be appointed and reported to the secretary of health and environment by July 15, 2025

Task force expires December 31, 2026, with member expenses paid from Kansas Department of Health and Environment special revenue funds

Legislative staff from the office of revisor of statutes, legislative research department, and division of legislative administrative services will provide assistance as requested by the chairperson
