Kansas State Board of Cosmetology gains authority to issue two new permit types: temporary location permits and temporary guest artist permits, replacing the previous single "demonstration permit" category

Temporary guest artist permits allow out-of-state licensed cosmetology professionals to work at state or national conventions, board-licensed establishments, or other approved event locations

Out-of-state applicants must hold a valid license in their home state or jurisdiction with no revocations, suspensions, or conditions on their license

Foreign citizens without social security numbers may apply using a valid visa or passport identification number instead

All temporary permits expire 14 days after issuance by the board
