Department of Administration must provide monthly reports to the Kansas Department for Children and Families containing social security numbers or taxpayer identification numbers of all persons claiming Kansas lottery prizes exceeding $5,000

Department of Administration must similarly report lottery and gambling prize winners exceeding $5,000 to the Department of Health and Environment on a monthly basis

Kansas Department for Children and Families will cross-reference lottery winners against recipients of TANF cash assistance, food assistance, and child care subsidy programs to verify continued eligibility

Department of Health and Environment will verify whether lottery/gambling prize winners are receiving medical assistance (Medicaid) in Kansas and take appropriate action regarding eligibility

Both departments are prohibited from publicly disclosing the identity of any lottery prize winner, including recipients determined to have illegally received benefits, and may only use the data for eligibility verification purposes
