Elevates endangering a child from a Class A person misdemeanor to a severity level 9 person felony when the victim is under 6 years old

Increases aggravated endangering a child from severity level 9 to severity level 8 person felony when the victim is under 6 years old

Raises aggravated endangering a child with bodily harm from severity level 6 to severity level 5 person felony when the victim is under 6 years old

Maintains existing penalties for offenses involving children ages 6-17, with enhanced penalties applying only to victims under age 6

Amends K.S.A. 2025 Supp. 21-5601 and takes effect upon publication in the statute book
