HB 2511 - Agricultural Production Fund Flexibility

• Amends K.S.A. 2025 Supp. 32-809 to allow moneys in the state agricultural production fund to be used for management of all state-owned properties under the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks, rather than only the specific property that generated the revenue.

• Removes the requirement that fund accounts be used only for "habitat management costs and expenses associated with the management practices as determined for each property."

• Retains the existing structure where agricultural production revenues from state-owned lands are deposited into the state agricultural production fund with separate accounts for each property.

• Expenditures from the fund continue to require appropriation acts and approval by the secretary of wildlife and parks.

• Takes effect upon publication in the statute book.
