Increases the maximum resident capacity for "home plus" facilities from 12 to 16 individuals under the adult care home licensure act

Allows adult care homes to convert a portion of one wing to a home plus facility with 5-16 beds (previously capped at 12 beds), provided it remains separate from the main facility

Requires home plus facilities caring for more than 12 individuals after July 1, 2026 to develop and maintain written plans demonstrating ability to meet residents' needs, respond to emergencies, and maintain health and safety at increased capacity

Mandates these written plans be available for review during surveys or inspections to ensure the facility can safely serve additional residents without diminishing care quality

Requires personnel at any home plus serving residents with dementia to complete annual dementia care training
