Prohibits health insurance plans from requiring patients with advanced, metastatic cancer to try and fail on alternative medications before covering FDA-approved prescription drugs

Covers both the cancer treatment itself and associated conditions, defined as symptoms or side effects that could jeopardize patient health if left untreated

Applies only to drugs that are consistent with best practices, supported by peer-reviewed evidence-based literature, and FDA-approved
