Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks must be reimbursed from the state general fund for lost revenue from any free, discounted, or exempt hunting and fishing licenses, permits, or passes established by legislation on or after July 1, 2027

The department must maintain an accounting of lost revenue and submit certified reports to the director of accounts and reports and the state treasurer by June 30 of each fiscal year

The state treasurer may audit the department's accounting and related records

Upon certification, the director of accounts and reports transfers the calculated lost revenue amount from the state general fund to the wildlife fee fund, subject to legislative appropriation

Copies of each certification must also be sent to the director of the budget and the director of legislative research
