Kansas HB 2566, the "Every Body Can Move Act," requires all individual and group health insurance policies to cover prosthetic and orthotic devices at minimum levels matching Medicare standards

Coverage must include devices for daily activities, job functions, physical activities (running, biking, swimming, strength training), and bathing, plus all materials, components, supplies, and usage instruction

Replacement coverage is required when a healthcare provider determines it necessary due to physiological changes, irreparable device damage, or when repair costs exceed 60% of replacement cost

Insurers cannot impose separate financial requirements specific to prosthetic/orthotic coverage, cannot deny benefits based on disability, and must include at least two in-network prosthetic/orthotic providers in Kansas

Applies to policies executed, delivered, or renewed on or after January 11, 2027, with conflicting state laws declared null and void
