Establishes the Kansas Task Force on Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies to study impacts, risks, workforce implications, and regulatory needs of AI, as well as explore AI use in state/local government operations and public education

Task force consists of 6 voting members (3 from House, 3 from Senate appointed by leadership) and 5 nonvoting members including the attorney general, representatives from education boards, commerce, and a governor-appointed AI/cybersecurity expert

Members must be appointed by August 1, 2026, with a quorum of 4 voting members required for action; members may receive expenses, mileage, and subsistence payments if approved by the legislative coordinating council

Annual written reports with findings and recommendations for statutory, regulatory, or administrative actions must be submitted to the governor and legislative leadership beginning December 31, 2026

Task force expires January 1, 2028
