• Amends K.S.A. 21-5424 to clarify that knowingly exposing another person to a life-threatening communicable disease through sexual intercourse or sodomy is a crime regardless of whether the sexual act itself is lawful or unlawful
• Increases the penalty from a severity level 7 person felony to a severity level 4 person felony
• Requires proof that the individual knew they were infected and acted with intent to expose another person to the disease
