Schools and licensed child care facilities cannot exclude children who have been exposed or potentially exposed to an infectious or contagious disease unless a local health officer or secretary has issued a formal isolation or quarantine order pursuant to K.S.A. 65-129c

Any exclusion based on disease exposure cannot exceed the period specified in the official isolation or quarantine order

Children actually afflicted with an infectious or contagious disease dangerous to public health remain prohibited from attending schools or child care facilities

A physician or local health officer may issue a certificate confirming a person is not suffering from an infectious or contagious disease, allowing readmission to school or child care

Amends K.S.A. 65-122 and takes effect upon publication in the statute book
