All special elections in Kansas must be held on the first Tuesday in March of any year, consolidating scattered special election dates into a single annual date

Municipal bond elections must now coincide with a general election, primary election, or special election date, removing the previous option to hold them within 60-90 days of meeting requirements

School districts are limited to one special bond election per calendar year and may only hold bond elections on primary, general, or special election dates

Special elections cannot be held within 45 days of a general or primary election, but may occur on the same day as a general or primary election falling on the first Tuesday in March

Amends K.S.A. 25-2006, 25-2019, 10-120, 25-1115, and 25-2502, taking effect upon publication in the statute book
