Adds earned wage access service registrants (as defined in K.S.A. 9-2402) to the list of covered entities under the Kansas Financial Institutions Information Security Act

Requires these registrants to comply with information security standards consistent with federal regulations (16 C.F.R. § 314, as in effect July 1, 2023) for handling customer information

Expands the existing covered entity list that already includes credit services organizations, mortgage companies, supervised lenders, money transmission institutions, trust companies, and technology-enabled fiduciary financial institutions

Takes effect upon publication in the Kansas Register rather than the statute book
