Amends K.S.A. 75-7306 to require mandatory training on Alzheimer's disease and dementia care for the state long-term care ombudsman, regional ombudsmen, and ombudsman volunteers

Required training topics include recognizing warning signs and symptoms of dementia, person-centered care approaches, effective communication with dementia patients, and alternatives to physical and chemical restraints

Training must also cover resident safety threats such as wandering, referring families to dementia resources, and protocols for connecting dementia patients to local care professionals and reporting abuse incidents

Takes effect upon publication in the Kansas statute book
