Commemorates Dr. David J. Spittal's retirement as the fifth president of MidAmerica Nazarene University (MNU) in Olathe, Kansas, where he served since January 17, 2012

President's Honors annual fundraising event established under Dr. Spittal has raised nearly $8,000,000 for student scholarships since 2012

MNU received a $10,000,000 Title III Strengthening Institutions Grant from the U.S. Department of Education, one of only five recipients out of 5,000 eligible institutions

Nearly 18,000 students graduated from MNU during Dr. Spittal's tenure, now working as nurses, teachers, counselors, legislators, and business leaders throughout Kansas

Dr. Spittal was honored as the Olathe Chamber of Commerce 2024 Citizen of the Year for the university's growth, innovation, and community engagement
