Landowners, tenants, and their designees experiencing wildlife damage to land or property may request deer destruction permits from the department, which must inspect and confirm damage within 15 days and then issue a minimum of 5 permits annually for a 2-year period to take antlerless deer outside hunting season

Permit renewal is granted immediately upon submission of a time-and-date-stamped electronic image or current crop production report verifying continued damage; existing permit holders from the prior 3 years may also renew using this verification process

Landowners who take and report at least 3 antlerless deer during a hunting season become eligible for one additional antlered deer permit upon request

A 10-consecutive-day antlerless deer hunting period is established immediately following the December muzzle-loading gun season, allowing licensed hunters to use archery equipment, muzzle-loaders, or modern firearms including air guns, handguns, rifles, and shotguns

Declared an emergency measure to address increased destruction of agricultural crops, taking effect immediately upon the Governor's approval
