All Kentucky public schools must observe Constitution Day on September 17 or within the five school days preceding it, dedicating one class period to the observance

Required instruction must cover the timeline of events leading to the Constitution's creation, its contents, and how students can locate fundamental American documents and speeches

School districts are encouraged to provide eighth grade students with free pocket-size copies of the Constitution through collaboration with civic organizations

The Kentucky Department of Education must develop and maintain web-based Constitution Day resources, including sample lesson plans, to be provided to schools by August 1 annually

Schools may seek programming resources from the Kentucky Historical Society, Department for Libraries and Archives, and civic organizations such as the Daughters of the American Revolution and Sons of the American Revolution
