Establishes the Kentucky Urban Youth Agriculture Initiative administered by the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service, targeting counties with populations of 150,000 or more

Pilot program begins September 1, 2026, with full implementation starting September 1, 2027, and potential expansion beginning September 1, 2028

Program terms run one year beginning in January, open to youth ages 5-18 with parental permission

Initiative promotes urban farming education, agribusiness skills, and work-ready programming including formal internships and apprenticeships

Extension service offices have discretion over participant selection and may partner with existing state or local agricultural organizations for program administration
