Amends Kentucky Building Code to allow residential buildings (Group R-2 occupancy) up to 6 stories to have a single exit stairway instead of requiring multiple exits

Buildings must have no more than 4 dwelling units per floor and provide either an exterior or interior stairway

Maximum travel distance of 20 feet from any dwelling unit door to the exit stairway, with overall travel distance not exceeding 125 feet

Corridors must separate dwelling unit doors from interior exit stairways; units may open directly onto exterior stairways but not interior ones

Exit stairway must be isolated from other building occupancies (except parking garages and occupied roofs), with no unprotected openings within 10 feet and 1-hour fire-resistance rated exit doors required
