Reduces the minimum service credit required for retired police officers to be eligible for reemployment by county police departments, sheriff's offices, and city governments from 20 years to 15 years

Removes restrictions that previously prohibited reemployed retired police officers from receiving health insurance coverage through the employing county police department, sheriff's office, or city, allowing them to access employer health benefits

Eliminates the prohibition on employers paying insurance contributions to the state health insurance plan for reemployed retired officers under KRS 18A.225 to 18A.2287

Maintains existing requirements that reemployed officers serve one-year renewable terms, must have been separated from service for the required period, and cannot have had pre-existing return-to-work agreements

Updates related sections of KRS 61.702 and 78.5536 governing hospital and medical insurance plans to remove references to the deleted health insurance restrictions for reemployed retired police officers
