Railroad companies must destroy or remove plants, trees, brush, or other obstructive vegetation at intersections with public roads for a distance of 600 feet or a reasonably safe distance determined by the Transportation Cabinet

Transportation Cabinet or local governments may send written notice requiring railroad companies to remove obstructive vegetation within 10 days

If railroad companies fail to comply after written notice, the Transportation Cabinet or local government shall remove the vegetation and recover costs from the railroad company

Railroad companies must pay vegetation removal costs within 30 days of receiving certified mail notification, or face legal action to collect the amount owed
