Public schools and public charter schools serving grades 4-12 must provide at least one type of age-appropriate feminine hygiene product in each school building at no cost to female students

Feminine hygiene products include tampons, sanitary napkins, menstrual sponges, menstrual cups, and similar items

Local boards of education and charter school boards must adopt policies establishing distribution procedures and guidance on safe product use

School boards must also adopt policies prohibiting the resale, redistribution, or misuse of distributed feminine hygiene products
