University of Kentucky and University of Louisville must play each other annually in at least one football game and one men's and one women's basketball game (basketball games between December 14 and January 6)

UK and UofL must each play at least one football game against another Kentucky public university every two academic years

UK and UofL must each play at least two men's and two women's basketball games annually against other Kentucky public universities (Eastern Kentucky, Kentucky State, Morehead State, Murray State, Northern Kentucky, or Western Kentucky)

Games may be postponed or cancelled due to force majeure events including natural disasters, epidemics, labor strikes, war, or civil disturbances without penalty

Requirements are not enforceable during any academic year where compliance would violate pre-existing contracts entered by the universities
