Allows the Commissioner of the Department of Criminal Justice Training to grant deputy coroners up to 180 days extension to complete mandatory training requirements when extenuating circumstances beyond their control prevent timely completion

For deputy coroners unable to complete training due to injury or illness that prevents them from performing duties, the 180-day extension period begins when they resume their duties rather than immediately

Deputy coroners who fail to complete training within the extension period become ineligible to perform duties and may be terminated by the coroner

Removes existing provisions that required ineligible deputy coroners to recomplete initial basic training to regain eligibility and eliminated the detailed compensation modification structure during periods of ineligibility
