Full-time teachers must receive 250 minutes of noninstructional planning time per 5-day school week for grading, instructional planning, curriculum development, and student outreach activities

Teachers must receive a duty-free lunch period each day in addition to planning time, with the lunch period matching the length specified in the school calendar

Teachers must be compensated at least their usual hourly rate for any duties assigned during required planning time, duty-free lunch, or activities outside contract hours including IEP meetings and professional development

Schools may require teachers to stay up to 60 minutes after student dismissal one day per week, but must provide additional hourly compensation

Existing collective bargaining agreements and school districts' ability to provide additional planning time or higher compensation rates are preserved
