Law enforcement officers may enter vacant and abandoned property without delay or advance notice to secure the property and arrest or remove unlawful occupants

Property is presumed vacant and abandoned if no legal resident has occupied it for 45 or more consecutive days AND at least 2 indicators are present (overgrown vegetation, accumulated mail/trash, disconnected utilities, no window coverings/furniture, hazardous conditions/vandalism, or neighbor statements)

"Law enforcement officer" includes city, county, urban-county, consolidated local, and charter county police, as well as sheriffs and sworn deputy sheriffs

Officers acting in good faith under this section receive immunity from both criminal and civil liability
