Creates a new section in KRS Chapter 16 establishing a threat response protocol for "statewide-elected officials," defined to include the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General, Auditor, State Treasurer, Commissioner of Agriculture, all state judges (Supreme Court through District Court), and General Assembly members

Requires the Kentucky State Police department or its designated agency to immediately investigate and assess the veracity of any credible threat to kill or seriously injure a covered official

Mandates that if a threat is determined viable, the department must identify mitigation measures including coordinating with local law enforcement, conducting arrests, providing security detail, or other protective tactics
