Amends KRS 311.599 to update gender-neutral language, changing "his" to "his or her" and "he" to "he or she" throughout the statute governing physician competency examinations

Hearing or inquiry panels may order physicians to undergo physical or mental examinations when there is probable cause to believe a condition might impede their ability to practice competently

Physicians who fail to submit to ordered examinations face automatic default judgment, treating the refusal as an admission that they have developed a condition making continued practice dangerous to patients or the public

Physicians whose licenses have been suspended, limited, restricted, or revoked under these provisions must be given reasonable opportunities to demonstrate they can resume competent practice with safety to patients
