At least 85% of general fund money appropriated to the Office of Adult Education must be used for adult education programs, with the remaining funds available for administrative operations.

Qualifying tests for High School Equivalency Diplomas must offer students the option to take a written or paper test instead of an electronic version.

High School Equivalency Diplomas are issued at no charge upon successful program completion; fees may only be charged for duplicate diplomas and score reports.

The Office of Adult Education may contract annually with higher education institutions or other entities to score High School Equivalency Diploma examinations.
