Individuals are prohibited from entering multi-occupancy private spaces designated for the opposite biological sex, with exceptions for assisting children under 12, elderly persons, or persons with disabilities, as well as for emergencies, law enforcement, and maintenance

Knowingly violating the bathroom access restrictions constitutes a Class A misdemeanor

Employers are prohibited from retaliating against employees who report suspected violations or testify in related proceedings

Individuals who experience retaliation may file a civil lawsuit in Circuit Court within 2 years and recover costs, expenses, and attorney's fees if successful
