Kentucky would join the Interstate Dental and Dental Hygiene Licensure Compact, enabling dentists and dental hygienists to obtain expedited "compact license privileges" to practice across member states without completing full separate licensure applications in each state

The compact becomes active when 5 states join and creates an Interstate Dental and Dental Hygiene Compact Licensure Commission with 2 voting commissioners per member state to oversee administration, promulgate rules, and enforce compliance

Eligible applicants must hold an unrestricted license, have passed ADEX and national board examinations, graduated from CODA-approved programs, have no criminal convictions (except traffic offenses), no disciplinary history, and no active investigations

Active duty military members and their spouses are exempt from compact fees and receive expedited processing, with spouses receiving the same privileges as military members

Member states must report all adverse actions and disciplinary orders to a central clearinghouse, and discipline imposed by any member state automatically subjects the licensee to similar discipline in other member states where they hold compact privileges
