Kuracka was a Teamsters Union member and truck driver who retired from CF Trucking Company in 2000; he passed away on August 7, 2022, at age 80

Letcher County Fiscal Court adopted a resolution in 2023 endorsing the highway designation

Transportation Cabinet required to erect appropriate signage within 30 days of the resolution's effective date
